Tablescapes are our favorite. We could write an entire blog on just tablescapes. We saw these orange wildflowers on the side of the road and have been eyeing them for weeks now and KNEW we had to make one more summer tablescape for y'all!! We pulled over on the side of a highway, climbed over patches of stickers, and suffered through all of the bug bites - but it was WORTH IT. I found these AMAZING blue dishes at a thrift store, which I'm literally shocked they were still there because they are stunning and hard to find. They are called Colonial Garden Blue by Metlox and I'm OBSESSED. Blue and white is a classic. Blue Willow or Blue Danube china sets are also classic options! We are SPOILED to have a neighbor that loves for us to come pick her eucalyptus. She's always asking when we're coming back by to get some more! Hattie's favorite way to use it is thick and draping. (She really nailed it here!!!) The Davis family's property is stunning. We set up this under the shed section of their barn. It overlooks their pond and fields behind their house. This dinner was set up for my Parents-in-law (Hattie's parents). It was high time we made them a fancy dinner like this. We made them a fancy Mediterranean style meal with chilled wine, and grilled peaches & ice cream for dessert. Now for the DETAILS!!! We based this tablescape off of the combo of the blue and white china and the orange flowers. We used blue napkins and blue striped placemats to carry the blue color from the dishes. The blue and white dishes paired with glass provide a classic and clean concept. The copper pulls from the bright orange tones from the flowers and the wood tones from the napkin rings and candle holders pull from the dark tones of the cowhide rugs underneath the table. Together, the colors and tones create a bright yet warm and moody vibe. This concept would be BEAUTIFUL for a wedding. Eucalyptus is very trendy in wedding floral right now. There are so many romantic vibes here!!! If you are going for the rustic / barn style wedding -- but want to keep it classy THIS IS FOR YOU. We are DIGGING this vibe. Lights, like these, are a great way to brighten up a dingy space. Honestly, this space is usually a storage space on the side of the barn that holds odds and ends. But liven it up with some lights and you have a party!! If you got inspiration from us, LET US KNOW in the comments below! We would love to get to know our followers!
